Privacy Policy

Postmechanics (“Postmechanics” or the “Service”) is a service offered through the URL www.postmechanics.com (we’ll refer to it as the “Site”) that allows you to analyze and make sense of the content of Facebook fan pages. Postmechanics is owned and operated by Qualia Technologies of Understanding, located at Voriou Ipirou 4, Kifisia 14564, Athens, Greece (“Qualia” “we,”, “us” or “our”).

Qualia takes the private nature of your information very seriously. This policy regarding our privacy practices (the "Privacy Policy") describes how we treat the information we collect when you visit and use the Site and the Service. When you use the Service, you also consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy; please read it carefully.

1. When you register with the Service, you will be asked to provide certain personal information, including your name and email address. We will store your personal information, but will not share it with any third parties, except as necessary to provide the services offered, to monitor usage, and to improve the Service. For example, we may store your personal information along with your files and data on a third party server such as Amazon Web Services; or we may use a third party analytics tool to learn how you are using the Service, and how we can improve that experience. We also use your personal information to send you notifications about the Service and to respond to customer support requests. We will never share your personal information with advertisers or send you promotions for unrelated services. You can access and change your personal information by logging in to your account settings page.

2. We may be required to disclose your personal information in order to:

  • comply with the law or legal process;
  • protect or defend our rights or property, or the rights or property of others;
  • enforce the terms of this Privacy Policy; or
  • respond to claims that the content of any material on our system violates the rights of others.

If we must disclose your personal information in order to comply with the law or legal process, we will inform you (at the email address you provide) as soon as practicable, provided that it is lawful for us to do so.

We will also aggregate user information and perform statistical analyses of the collective behavior of our members and visitors, to measure overall demographics, and to analyze how to improve our Service. We may share this information with third parties (such as Google Analytics), but such aggregate information does not contain personal information other than IP addresses. In addition, we may compile and disclose aggregate information about our users for promotional or other purposes. For example, we might want to disclose that a certain percentage of our users are located within a particular geographic area or work most frequently in the mornings.

4. We use session and login cookies, which help us keep track of when a person is logged. We will also capture browser and language, login timestamps, and usage statistics, as well as IP addresses.

5. When you register with the Service, you will be asked to authenticate yourself and authorize the Service on the Facebook platform using your Facebook Identity. By authorizing the Service, you are giving it permission to collect, store, and use, the following information that Facebook, Inc. ("Facebook") provides to the application through Facebook's Graph Application Programming Interface ("API"):

  • Your public_profile which includes basic info such as id, name, first_name, last_name, link, gender, locale, age_range, e-mail.
  • Insights for all pages and domains owned by you.
  • Information that any third party has chosen to make public on Facebook.

We do not access posts in your news feed. We do not post on your behalf. We process such data for the term of your legal agreement with Qualia under which you receive the Service, for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

6. If your Facebook Account is deleted, you must inform Qualia about this situation. You may no longer be able to access the Service if your Facebook Account is deleted.

7. By providing any data, including personal information, to Qualia while using the Service or when visiting and using the Site, you declare that you have all necessary consents, permissions or registrations to process the provided data in this way. Qualia is not liable for any misprocessing of data that could occur by your provision of the data to Qualia.

8. We may modify this Privacy Policy or add any additional terms that apply to this Privacy Policy to, for example, reflect changes to the law or changes to our Service. You should look at the Privacy Policy regularly. We’ll let you know either through the site or via email (at the email address you provide).

Changes will not apply retroactively and will become effective no sooner than fourteen days after they are posted. However, changes addressing new functions for the Service or changes made for legal reasons will be effective immediately. If you do not agree to the modified terms for the Privacy Policy, you should discontinue your use of the Service.

If there is a conflict between this Privacy Policy and the additional terms of this Privacy Policy, the additional terms will prevail with regards to the conflict.
